The Last Secret Garden
We have known for a long time that Secret Garden 2019 would be our last year. We have always wanted to go out with a big bang and the stars have alined for this year to be the perfect time to drop the mic and say, Secret Garden – 11 and out.
We started Secret Garden because we desperately wanted a different kind of festival experience. A festival less about the headliners and irritable crowds, and more about getting together a community of good people, in over-the-top costumes and creating a world where patrons participate rather than just spectate.
11 years on and what we set out to do has far outreached our expectations of what we thought Secret Garden could ever be. Each year 100s of musicians, dancers, performance artists and visual artists have descended on our forest and turned it into an explosion of creativity and adventure. We have picked up many awards and recognition for being one of Australia’s best and most unique festivals. We have raised nearly $500,000 for charities and most importantly we have been an essential escape and a release for thousands of old and new friends. It has been a privilege to have touched so many lives in this way.
We may reappear in some other form in the future. But as a wise person once said, always leave a party when your still having fun.
We have been deliberating over announcing this news before we open our garden gates one last time in February 2019. However, we wanted to give our loyal friends a final chance to attend the last ever forest disco.
In celebration of this massive bombshell being dropped, we will be dialling everything up to 11 this year for – One Last Night in Paradise.
Some extra tix have been put ON SALE for the loyal lovers of our forest disco.
Can’t wait to party with you all one last time,
Secret Garden is a huge costume feast. We are a refuge for people who want to wear whatever they like

The Fizzy Stuff
Bar profits go to charity. But we keep the drinks affordable. So please dont smuggle booze in
11 years ago we (a group of friends) decided to put on a huge over-the-top party for us and our mates. In our first ever meeting, we decided on five things that would be at the core of what Secret Garden is;
/ Announce the line up after we have sold out, so everyone comes for the festival, not just to see one or two bands. This creates a sensational party atmosphere
/ Program a line up of artist who will each bring the house down. An eclectic, unpretentious lineup, curated for people who love discovering new things
/ Hand over each nook of the forest to our most creative friends and give them freedom to do whatever they like (we now have 150 friends who put on the most outrageous party their creative brains can dream up)
/ Two days of full fancy dress
/ Encourage everyone to participate, not just spectate (you will most likely get roped into things like singing Disney Karaoke or sitting in our applause section clapping in Gardeners as they arrive)
/ If we make a profit, give it away to charity (over the years we have given almost $500,000 to charity)
11 years on and this is very much the essence of the festival; we are just much better at it. We have also picked up a bunch of awards along the way too
We hope Gardeners leave Secret Garden with renewed sense of love for the world and all the party piglets in it. We can’t wait for you to get here
We are now running regular shuttle buses from Campbelltown station. With limited parking and RBT/MDTs at the exit, buses are the way to travel. Buses will be brought through an express entry, so you won’t have to wait in a queue. $24 return trip.
We need to cap the number of cars, so we charge for parking to encourage carpooling. $23 for cars, $35 for RVs and vans (no cars in the van area). Tickets will be checked at the gate this year and no door sales.
